Without a doubt, Shannon is one of the most reliable employees I have ever had the pleasure of managing. She always stays calm and focused, even under highest pressure. Our project-oriented work is often stressful, with high pressure from multiple stakeholders, but Shannon throve in this environment. She was able to handle the most demanding situations extremely well. Shannon was always willing to offer her assistance and had an excellent rapport with her colleagues, community members, and clients. She takes the initiative to go beyond the expectations of her job and sets an example for her colleagues. Shannon was an excellent employee and would be an asset to any employer.
— Angelica Mares, Sr. Consultant, IMS Health, Direct Supervisor at EmPowHER
Shannon joined EmPower Solar to promote commercial and solar energy. Her passion for renewable resources was fueled by Superstorm Sandy, which highlighted our dependence on traditional grid-tied systems. However, it was her social media initiatives and superior writing skills that landed her the “Write Stuff” award at our annual holiday party and promotion to Communications Manager. Shannon brought her newsroom skills to EmPower, providing consumable content on our website and helping to develop editorial standards. She also worked with Human Resources to create and run an internal employee health competition.

Without a doubt, Shannon is one of the most reliable interns I have ever had the pleasure of managing. She was always willing to offer her assistance and often took the initiative to go beyond the expectations of her job. In addition to arranging my bookshelf and performing general administrative tasks, Shannon connected with editors to ensure they received updated manuscripts, contacted publishing houses to update royalty payments, and reached out to clients on my behalf as I merged my former agency into Folio Literary Agency. Shannon was an excellent assistant and would be an asset to any employer.

Shelley surprised me with a copy of the article yesterday. It was released during my short vacation last week. It delineates a part of my life that I usually peruse or simply drift through in my head. Being confronted by it in a text edited by someone else made me draw a little gasp. I couldn’t help wonder, “What would my mother think?
